Artist Profile

I have been a Sunbury resident since 1983. Retired from working as a TAFE instructor at William Angliss Institute for 25 years, teaching in areas – Bakery Studies, Confectionery Manufacturing, Cake Decorating and Food Technology. I took up painting as a hobby after retirement and became a member of the Sunbury Art Society in 2011. I am an enthusiastic exhibitor at our annual art exhibitions and various other local exhibitions. I paint and draw in a variety of mediums and make use of a wide range of subjects. I love to draw buildings and man-made structures in pen while painting flora and fauna in watercolour and acrylic. Recent events forced me to take up painting with my other hand. Oils were the most suitable medium as they did not dry so quickly. All my oil paintings have been done this way and I have found my delve into oil painting very enjoyable. I find art a very relaxing and enjoyable pastime and would recommend it to anyone.
